Terms of service
TrackTak is a personal project. I write every page, test every installer note, and keep the catalog current with my team’s working setup. These terms set out how the site and its information are offered.
Third-party software and links
All program names, icons, and trademarks belong to their owners. I list them for reference. The developer – not TrackTak – provides the software, licences, and support. Links point to the developer’s own site or to the Mac App Store; I do not host downloads. If an app stops working or changes its terms, take it up with the developer.
Your account
You can browse the whole catalog without an account. To save favourites, get notified when a saved program is updated, or leave a comment, you will need a free account. Use a real email address you control. One person per account. Keep your password private; you are responsible for anything done under your login. If you think someone else has access, let me know straight away.
Contact about these terms
If something in this page is unclear, email me at [email protected] and I will sort it out.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The catalog is built from notes I keep for my own team. I check carefully, but I cannot guarantee every detail is current the moment you read it. The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, TrackTak and I accept no liability for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on a listing. That includes direct, indirect, or consequential loss, and it applies whether the claim is based on contract, negligence, or anything else. If you are using a listed program, test it in your own environment first.
Comment moderation
Every comment is read before it goes public. Yours will appear to you marked “awaiting moderation” until it is approved. I can decline or remove any comment without discussion. That is not a reflection on you; it simply keeps the signal high.
Copyright in the site text
The words I have written for listings, notes, and guides are my copyright. Do not copy them wholesale onto another site. Short attributed quotes for commentary or review are fine. Program descriptions supplied by developers are used with care but remain their property.
Comment rules
- No abuse. Do not attack people or make threats. Disagree with an app’s design, not its users.
- No private data. Do not post anyone else’s address, phone number, email, or other personal information.
- No spam or harmful links. Do not drop links to unrelated products, and never link to malware or to sites that push it. Genuine recommendations that help the conversation are welcome.
- No impersonation. Use your own identity. Do not pretend to be a developer, a moderator, or another member.
What the catalog is – and what it is not
TrackTak is a checklist of Mac software: version, file size, compatibility, and the install notes I keep for my team. It is not a guarantee that a program will run on your particular Mac, with your particular mix of other apps and system settings. Older builds stay listed for older Macs, but I cannot promise they will still be available from the developer. Always check the developer’s own system requirements before you buy or install.
Last updated April 2025. I will update this page when the site changes. Keep an eye on it if you use your account regularly.
