If you've managed a hospital or a university in the Two Point universe, you know the drill. Two Point Museum shifts the chaos from wards and lecture halls to exhibition floors. Your job: build, curate, and keep the guests happy enough to open their wallets in the gift shop.

The box contains a full museum management simulation with five distinct themes to master. You don't just plop down exhibits. You send experts out on expeditions across five maps to dig up new items from over 100 points of interest. Three temporary exhibits bring their own objectives and challenges, so your layout stays fluid. While you're busy curating, security keeps an eye out for thieves, and the guest experience checklist never ends: cleanliness, drink stands, toilets, and a well-stocked shop all feed back into your ratings.

Setting up an aquarium wing from scratch

Start with an empty plot in the aquarium museum. First task: hire two experts with good expedition stats. Send one to a tropical reef point of interest on the map. While they're away, lay out the skeleton of your wing.

Place a ticket desk near the entrance, then zone the back half for staff-only. Build a small break room with a sofa and a coffee machine. Your janitor needs a cleaning cupboard too. If you forget either, staff morale tanks within the first hour.

When the expedition returns, unpack the crate. You've got a clownfish exhibit and a chunk of brain coral. Drop the clownfish tank near the visitor path, add an information board beside it, and assign a tour stop. The coral goes further in as a secondary draw. Hire a tour guide, set a route that hits both exhibits, and open the doors.

Check the heat map after five minutes. Guests complaining about thirst? Drop a drink stand midway along the route. It's a simple loop: expedition, exhibit placement, guest feedback, tweak layout, repeat.

Pausing a museum mid-crisis

  • Boot up and load your supernatural museum save. You left it mid-crisis yesterday.
  • Pause immediately. Scan the alerts: one exhibit stolen overnight, litter piling up near the toilets, and a tour guide is on break with no replacement.
  • Hire a second guide so tours don't stall. Train them on the possessed doll exhibit route.
  • Unpause. Watch visitors flow through the haunted wing. A child runs out of the ghost room — you need a calming bench zone just outside.
  • Check expedition results. Your expert returned from the abandoned asylum point of interest with a cursed mirror. Good stats, but it needs a temperature-controlled case. Build that in the far corner, away from the café. Cursed items lower food satisfaction if they're too close.
  • Thirty minutes gone. Gift shop revenue is up, but so is the theft risk. Place a security camera covering the new mirror and the main entrance.
  • Save and quit once the star rating ticks over to three. You earned the next museum unlock.

Four exhibits, then infrastructure first

Overloading on exhibits too early. More items mean more maintenance, more guards, and more janitors. You burn through cash before the guest numbers justify it. Start with four or five strong exhibits and build infrastructure first.

Ignoring staff training rooms. Untrained experts fail expeditions more often. Untrained guides give boring tours. A small training room pays for itself in fewer wasted expedition days and higher tour ratings.

Placing all toilets in one corner. Guests won't walk across a large museum to find them. They'll complain, then leave. Spread two small toilet blocks across the floor plan.

Skimping on decorations. A bare corridor between two wings tanks your museum's overall attractiveness score. Plants, banners, and benches fill the gaps and keep guests moving happily toward the next exhibit.

Forgetting about thieves until it's too late. High-value exhibits attract sticky fingers. A single security guard at the entrance isn't enough if your layout has blind spots. Cameras near rare exhibits and a guard on patrol route through high-risk zones stops losses before they happen.
