Quick solo runs and 3-player co-op
- Quick solo runs between tasks
- Small-team co-op sessions
- Fans of Dead Cells' combat rhythm
Intel Macs hit a dead end
- Slow, narrative-driven play
- Intel Mac setups
Setting up a three-player run
- Start Windblown and pick the online co-op option from the menu.
- Create a lobby, then pass the code to your two teammates.
- Each player confirms their weapon loadout before the first drop.
- Move through the opening biome as a group — shared aggro pulls more enemies.
- Call out your dash cooldowns before elite rooms.
- Collect cells after each clear, then split upgrades based on who needs survivability.
A full three-player run takes less time than you expect. The pace stays high because there is no inventory screen to get lost in.
Small-team evening
A pair of players on separate Mac minis use the co-op lobby to run two biomes between work calls. One handles crowd control with a wide-arc weapon; the other focuses on burst damage. When a boss room appears, they wait for both dash charges before engaging. The run ends, unlocks carry over, and the lobby stays open for a second attempt.
Run the Fix file to clear a first-launch block
- Launch error at first start — Run the Fix file from the disk image. This clears the usual startup block.
- Co-op lobby not showing — Check that all players are on the same build, version 0.8.0.12. Mismatched builds stop the lobby from listing.
- Language wrong after install — Go to game settings and pick from the eight supported languages. The change applies at the next menu load.
- Performance dips on an M4 — Lower post-processing first. The game runs fine on Apple Silicon, but particle-heavy rooms benefit from one settings tweak.
- Download for Mac missing from your list — A fresh download windblown for mac gives you the current Wineskin build. Keep the disk image until the app is copied into Applications.
- Online co-op for up to 3 players added
- Language selection now available in game settings
- Fix file included for launch errors
- macOS Sequoia
- Apple Silicon (tested on Mac mini 2024 M4)
