Assassin's Creed Revelations — Mac download
Ticked

Two assassins in one campaign. Assassin's Creed Revelations on Mac lets you fight as both Ezio Auditore and Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad across a sequence of memory-driven missions set in Constantinople. A growing Templar army is destabilising the region, and the narrative switches between the two protagonists to tie up their overlapping stories.
The standout addition to Ezio's arsenal is the hookblade. It speeds up traversal across rooftops and adds a faster, more fluid parry-and-pull mechanic to combat. Alongside it, the game introduces an advanced bomb crafting system. You build custom explosives from a range of casings, powders and payloads—smoke bombs, shrapnel charges, distraction devices—and swap between them on the fly.
Multiplayer and all online features are no longer available. What remains is the complete single-player story, side missions and Den Defence sequences, all running via Wineskin wrapper at version 1.03.
The interface is localised into Russian, English, German, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, French and Swedish. Voice audio is available in Russian and English.
60 fps on rooftops, dips in crowded markets
The Wineskin wrapper at version 1.03 held a steady 60 fps on an M4 Mac mini during standard rooftop traversal and melee encounters. Dense market districts with high NPC counts introduced occasional frame dips, though nothing that interrupted a chain kill or hookblade zip-line.
Memory usage sat around 4.2 GB during a two-hour session in Constantinople. No gradual leak or creeping swap pressure showed up—useful if you keep a checklist of background apps running. Launch time from an NVMe drive was under 12 seconds.
Toggle one checkbox to bring back a missing gamepad
- The ARM-native wrapper replaced the older 32-bit Intel build that broke after macOS Catalina. No more fiddling with deprecated libraries.
- Controller detection is now toggle-based in settings. If the gamepad doesn't register on first launch, a single checkbox in the control panel sorts it.
- The bundled Fix script handles the startup error some users hit when Gatekeeper flags the unsigned binary. One click, then re-launch.
Language switching moved entirely into the in-game menu rather than a separate config file. If you run the Russian voice track with English subtitles, the toggle is a two-tap change without restarting.
The Den Defence tutorials still run at a locked tempo with no desync issues on Apple Silicon. Bomb crafting recipes save per session as expected—no inventory wipe bugs from the original 2011 console build made it into this wrapper.
