Toontrack EZmix Bundle — Mac download

If you know EZdrummer, you already understand the Toontrack idea: complex jobs reduced to a click. EZmix does the same for channel-strip processing. Insert it on a sequencer track, call up a preset for snare drum or lead vocal, and a full chain of compression, EQ and saturation is active. Version 3.2.2 keeps every preset and pack from EZmix 2, with the addition of mastering-style chains, new reverb algorithms, and guitar and bass amp simulation.

Native Apple Silicon support, no Rosetta needed

EZmix runs as a VST, AU or AAX plug-in on macOS 10.13 and later. Both Intel and Apple Silicon machines are supported natively. No separate bridge is needed.

Load a preset on any channel

Insert EZmix on a drum bus, keyboard track or the master fader. Presets are grouped by source — drums, vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards — so you find a starting point fast.

Standalone host for guitar practice without a DAW

Does EZmix work standalone or only inside a DAW? Both. You get the plug-in formats — AU, VST, AAX — plus a standalone host. The host is useful for guitar practice: load an amp-and-cabinet preset, plug in your interface, and play without opening Logic or Ableton.

Will it duplicate presets I already own from EZmix 2? No. EZmix 3 reads your existing content in place. Nothing gets copied or left behind. All your old chains show up alongside the new ones.

Can I edit the preset chains or are they locked? You can tweak. Each preset exposes a small set of macro controls — drive, compression amount, EQ tilt, reverb mix — so you adjust the sound without building a chain from scratch. The underlying effect parameters stay hidden.

Complete your song’s sound while you write

Songwriters tracking at home. If you want a finished sound while you write, not after, EZmix fits. Drop a vocal preset on your scratch track, a bass amp on the DI, and keep moving.

Guitarists without a room full of amps. The amp and cabinet section gives you clean Fender-style tones, pushed British stacks, and high-gain modern sounds. Pair the standalone host with a decent interface and you have a practice rig that loads in seconds.

Podcasters and voice-over editors. The vocal presets include chains for spoken word — light compression, de-essing, a touch of saturation. One insert, one click.

Mix engineers on tight deadlines. When a client needs rough mixes by end of day, EZmix gets channels to a presentable state faster than building chains manually. Pull back the global output to -3 dB as a safety net

Output level trim. The global output knob at the top right defaults to 0 dB. Presets vary in loudness, so set it to -3 dB as a safety margin and adjust per track.

Reverb algorithm toggle. EZmix 3 added new reverb algorithms alongside the originals. Switch between them on any preset that uses reverb — the newer ones are cleaner and denser, good for vocals and snare.

Standalone host sample rate. The standalone app defaults to your system rate. Check it before you play guitar through an amp preset; a mismatch adds latency you do not need.

If you plan to use EZmix packs released from Q4 2025 onward, version 3.2.2 is mandatory. Earlier packs open fine in any EZmix 3 build.
