Farm Together 2 — Mac download
Ticked

One farm can expand from a tiny starter plot to a very large stretch of land.
Planting — Sow seasonal crops, plant fruit trees and water them on a timer.
Animal care — Feed and tend livestock; they produce resources on a regular cycle.
Tractor work — Hop into a tractor and switch on automatic mode to plough, water and harvest faster than doing it by hand.
Town runs — Sell produce in town. The money goes straight back into decorations, new buildings and farm upgrades.
House tasks — Step inside the farmhouse to cook meals or paint. A quiet break from field work.
Terraforming — Reshape the layout. Add or remove hills and mountains to make room for new planting zones.
Customising — Lay down fences, roads and decorations. The farm looks how you want it to look.
Multiplayer — Play solo, set the farm to friends-only, or open it to everyone.
Performance impressions
On a Mac mini M4 running macOS Tahoe, Farm Together 2 stays cool and quiet. The fan rarely spins up even with a fully decorated farm and three visitors connected.
Memory use sits around 1.2 GB during normal play. Update #33 fixed a memory leak that used to cause stalls when switching farms — that problem is gone now. Loading a large farm from the menu takes five to six seconds. No crashes in a four-hour session.
Frame pacing holds steady at 60 fps. The only dip comes when planting 200 tiles at once with the tractor on auto; a half-second hitch, then smooth again.
Workflow: setting up a cash crop rotation
This is a reliable early-game loop for earning medals and diamonds without constant attention.
- Clear a 10×10 patch with the tractor. Terraform out any hills that break the grid.
- Plant watermelons in spring — they pay well and take four real hours to mature. Water once, then let the offline timer do the rest.
- While watermelons grow, take the tractor to the town board. Accept a 4-box quest. Update #33 bumped the item count on these, so check you have enough storage first.
- Harvest the melons when the notification hits. Sell half in town; keep the rest to cook watermelon juice in the farmhouse later.
- Replant immediately with sunflowers if summer has started. Their short cycle means two harvests before autumn.
- Spend medal rewards on a farmhand. Assign it to water the sunflower field — visitors sometimes see farmhands freeze, but the latest patch fixed that for multiplayer sessions.
The tractor's automatic mode turns the whole sequence into three clicks: harvest, sell, replant. You spend more time decorating the farmhouse than managing the fields.
- Quest medal rewards increased across the board.
- 4-box quests now ask for more items.
- Added a toggle to turn off the harvest items absorption sound.
- Fixed a memory leak when switching farms that could cause crashes and long stalls.
- Fixed event items showing up in planters ahead of time.
- Fixed the low-quality preview for Zen Pack flowers.
- Fixed the Farmhouse stool, chair and table foliage visual effect.
- macOS Tahoe (tested on Mac mini 2024 M4)
- Supports Apple Silicon and 64-bit Intel
