Tannenberg — Mac download
Ticked

Compatibility first. This build runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, tested on macOS Tahoe with a Mac mini 2024 M4. If your machine handles that, you are clear to deploy.
Who should play it
- Players who want a slower, position-based shooter rather than a twitch reflex test.
- Solo players. AI bots fill matches when the server is quiet.
- Small groups. Squad play works in teams of four across six squads.
- Fans of the WW1 Game Series who want the Eastern Front setting.
- Language learners. Interface supports eleven languages from Russian to Japanese.
Slow pace with no progression treadmill
Six large maps and 64-player matches sound busy, but this is not a fast respawn loop. If you need constant action, unlocks and progression bars, the pace will feel wrong. The bots keep games alive, yet they do not replace the tension of a full human server. You are buying into atmosphere and positioning, not spectacle.
N opens a live tactical map, double-tap T marks for your squad
- Hold N to check the tactical map without opening a full-screen overlay. Lets you scan frontlines while keeping your rifle ready.
- Double-tap T to mark a position on the map for your squad. Most players never find this.
- Bolt-action rifles cycle faster if you stay scoped in after firing. The animation skips a re-shoulder step.
- Gas masks fog your peripheral vision. Equip one early and learn to navigate by sound cues before the gas grenade lands.
- AI bots prioritise objectives. Follow one when you are lost — they rarely wander without purpose.
A single-map workflow: taking a trench line
- Join a maneuver warfare server with a mixed bot-human roster. Pick the Cossack squad for the faster sprint trait.
- Spawn at the rear trench. Open the tactical map (N) and note which sector is contested — look for the blinking frontline marker.
- Equip the Mosin-Nagant rifle. Bayonet attached. Call out the sector to your squad via the T marker.
- Move along the communication trench, not over open ground. Stop at each traverse to listen for enemy footsteps. Bots shuffle; humans go quiet.
- When the point cap icon appears, prone behind the parapet. Let the bots push first. They draw fire. You identify muzzle flashes.
- Pick off two defenders, then push into the trench with your squad. Switch to a shovel or club for the close fight inside the dugout.
- Hold the cap zone until the sector flips. Resupply from the dead. Repeat for the next line.
- macOS: not specified in the brief
- Architecture: Intel and Apple Silicon
