Escape from Duckov — Mac download
Ticked

Weather can shift mid-raid. One moment you're scavenging under clear skies; the next, a storm rolls in and changes how sound travels. Escape from Duckov is a top-down PvE extraction shooter where you start with nothing and work toward escape across a campaign with more than 50 hours of content. Loot tables evolve over time, and over 50 weapons give you plenty of loadout options.
Smooth M4 raids on macOS 11+
The build was tested on macOS Tahoe with a 2024 Mac mini M4. It runs on macOS 11.0 or later, with native support for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Performance on the M4 was smooth during raids, even with weather effects active. Controls are standard top-down shooter fare—WASD movement, mouse aiming—and they map cleanly to a Mac keyboard and mouse without extra configuration.
Route-planning against weather shifts
Each raid drops you into a duck-populated map with one goal: gather resources and get out alive. The PvE setup keeps the focus on planning routes and managing inventory rather than competing against other players. Weather changes mid-raid, altering visibility and audio cues, so you adapt on the fly. Interface languages include English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Leaving base overloaded
- Leaving the base with full inventory. Carrying too much into a raid means you have no space for loot. Empty your pockets except for essentials—one weapon, one spare magazine, a basic medkit.
- Ignoring weather cues. Rain masks footsteps. Fog shrinks your sight lines. A clear sky looks safe, but the weather can flip five minutes into a raid. Check the horizon before you commit to open ground.
- Skipping the skill tree early. The branching tree unlocks faster reloads, quieter movement, and better scavenging yields. Points spent early pay back across the whole campaign.
- Treating every enemy as a target. Ammo is scarce. Some duck patrols can be avoided entirely by crouching behind cover and waiting. Shooting draws attention.
- Neglecting the shelter between raids. Blueprints and collected resources are useless if they sit in your stash. Craft workbenches and storage upgrades before pushing into harder maps.
Double-tap R for emergency reloads
- Double-tap R to quick-reload. The animation is faster than the standard reload, but it drops your current magazine. Use it in emergencies, not by habit.
- Hold Tab to see loot labels. Ground items get name tags with a single hold. Saves you from pixel-hunting during a storm.
- Weapon modification presets. Once you find a mod combination you like, save it as a preset. Swapping between a silenced night-raiding build and a loud daytime setup takes two clicks.
- Map-specific audio tells. Each of the five maps has a distinct ambient track. Learning them means you notice when something off-script—like enemy footsteps—cuts through the mix.
- NPC dialogue logs. Dialogue scrolls fast during encounters. Open the log later from the shelter terminal to catch clues you missed while aiming.
- macOS 11.0 or later
- Apple Silicon and Intel Macs
